PROCEDURE
It may happen either during running or during stationary conditions.
- During surfacing the rotational speed of crusher rolls can range between 2 to 5 RPM. The ideal being 3 RPM.
- The greater the rotational speed the smaller the amount of weld-deposit will adhere to the roll.
- During surfacing, in dry-condition closer control of coverage can be obtained with globules.
- The electrode is normally kept inclined at about 300 below the horizon and in the direction of roll movement.
- The rolls do not require cleaning before / after welding.
